ExpoKDS connects to your Square account once, then streams every order to the tablets in your kitchen. No printers to feed, no proprietary screens to buy, no app to install on the register.
How it works
A server saves a ticket or a cashier takes a payment on Square Point of Sale. Square sends ExpoKDS a webhook within a second.
ExpoKDS fetches the full order, applies your kitchen-facing names, works out the order type, and routes each line to its station.
Every tablet that should see the ticket gets it instantly over a live connection, with a chime. Edits and voids follow the same path.
Cooks tap lines to cross them off and bump their station's part. Expo watches the progress chips and clears the ticket when it leaves the pass.
Screens
Every ticket lives on the server. Tablets reconnect and reload the board on their own, and a polling fallback covers late webhooks.
Old orders from an offline register are recorded but never dumped on the line. Edited lines are re-highlighted. Voids are unmistakable.
ExpoKDS asks Square for read access to orders and items only. It never changes anything in your Square account.
