What counts as a location?
A location is a Square location: one restaurant address. Every tablet, station, and screen at that address is included. A group with three restaurants pays for three locations and manages them from one login per business.
Pricing questions
- Do I need Square's own KDS subscription?
- No. ExpoKDS reads orders through Square's Orders API and webhooks, which Square provides for every account. Your existing kitchen printers keep working alongside it.
- What hardware do I need?
- Any device with a modern browser: iPads, Android tablets, laptops, or a smart TV browser. Most kitchens use tablets they already own.
- Is there a contract?
- No. Monthly plans cancel anytime. Annual plans are billed once per year per location.
- Do I need a credit card for the trial?
- Yes. You add a card at signup so your kitchen keeps running when the trial ends, but nothing is charged during the 14 days and you can cancel in one click from Billing before the first charge.
- What happens after the trial?
- We contact you before day 14. Pick a plan to keep going, or do nothing and the screens simply stop; your Square account is untouched either way.
