Square open tickets and what the kitchen actually sees

For years, apps could only see a Square POS order after it was paid. Square for Restaurants accounts now expose open tickets the moment they are saved, with the ticket name, in-store fulfillment, and every edit.

ExpoKDS fires a ticket as soon as it is visible, marks it OPEN until a payment is attached, highlights lines that change, and voids it if the ticket is canceled. Quick counter sales still appear the moment they are paid.
